Hello everyone, and welcome to my new blog. So I think I don't need to introduce myself or the site, but if you're curious, please visit the about page.
Also, don't forget to read till the end to find the first Myth that I am busting.
Now let's get into the topic. Because it is black history month this week, I will share some interesting facts and stories about it.
Fact Time:
In 1955, a teenager named Claudette Colvin was arrested after refusing to give up her bus seat to a white woman. Colvin's deed encouraged Rosa Parks to do the same nine months later. Parks' arrest began one of the most significant civil rights battles in history.
It was chosen as the month to celebrate Black History Month because Frederick Douglass, abolitionist and writer, was born in this month, as was Abraham Lincoln, who had a major part in defining Black history.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
Dr. Martin L. King Jr. was assassinated in 1968, three years after his brother Malcolm was killed. Dr. Martin is well-known for his "I have a dream" speech in 1963 during a People's March in Washington. The march was aimed at ending racial segregation in schools and other public institutions.
King was arrested several times during his lifetime. In 1960, he joined Black college students in a sit-in at a segregated lunch counter. Presidential candidate John F. Kennedy interceded to have King released from jail, an action that is credited with helping Kennedy win the presidency.

Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated on April 4, 1968. He was shot by James Earl Ray on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee. Americans honour King on Martin Luther King Day on the third Monday of January each year - MLK Day.

Myth Busting :

Myth:
Study hard for 10th. Fir life set hai !! (Then life is set.)
Myth Check:
I've heard many parents tell their children this, but I believe the tenth is simply the beginning of adulthood. Meaning, after the 10th, you will study for the 12th, and then you will have to find work, and then you will have to get married, and then you will have to take care of your children.
So, I have a question for all the parents: “How is life 'set' after tenth?”
After tenth standard, life takes you very fast, those were the days you played with puddle when rains, you giggled and laughed endlessly were remained as memories. Those became your distant acquaintance. Responsibility what keeps the parents moving....."responsibility ke saath life fit hoga, bina responsibility.....koyee bee nahi ho saktha.
